今日はパブリックヘアやわき毛などの処理の話！
I'm gonna talk about body hair today!
日本と海外ではまた文化も違うし考え方も違うけれど、だいたいみんな女の子は脇や足の毛は剃るべきだとか、パブリックヘアは綺麗にしておくべきみたいに考えられているのが現状。あなたは剃る派？それとも剃らない派？もしくはここは剃るけど、そこは剃らないなんていう人もいるのでは？
Well, it must be different how people think about body hair but I guess a lot of girls think that girls should shave their body hair and have nice pubic hair. Do you shave? or I guess some people shave one part but not the others.
特に日本では『剃らないなんてありえない！』っていう人も多いかも？じゃあどうして剃るの？みんなそうしているから？じゃあもしみんな剃っていなかったらあなたはそれでも剃る？それともパートナーのため？恥ずかしいから？
In Japan, most of the girls think "THERE'S NO WAY NOT SHAVING!!" but why do you shave? because everyone does? then if everyone stopped shaving, will you still shave? or do you shave for your partner? or are you embarrassed?
剃りたいか剃りたくないかはあなた次第。だけど、『剃らなくてもいい』っていう選択肢があることを忘れないで :) 特に冬なんて面倒くさい！だったらフリーにほうっておいてもいい！だってどうせ長袖に長ズボンや厚手のタイツを履くんだから。なんて人ももちろんOK！
All I need to tell you is it's your choice whether or not to shave Especially, in Winter! OMG! I always tend to get lazy about shaving in Winter because it'll be all covered, you know?

それに女性にとって毛の処理は、美とつながっているかと言われたらそれは人次第。下着や水着の広告モデルたちは完全にありえないくらい綺麗な脇やVライン、そして足。それを見て、それを理想だと思うのはいいけれど、そうならなきゃいけないなんて思わないで！脇毛をほったらかしていても、堂々としていれば美しいし、かっこいいし、素敵。男の人は胸毛やギャランドゥが生えていたら、ホット！って言われるかもしれないけれど、生えてなくても魅力的は魅力的。それは女性も同じ。
I'm not sure if people are beautiful because they shave. You see that the models in lingerie ads are so perfectly shaved and look amazing, and people think that's the ideal but you don't have to be like that. I know some people leave their arm hair, or leg hair and those people are still beautiful, cool and attractive to me. If men has happy trail or chest hair, people think they're hot. Then same as women.
私の大好きなアーティストの一人、Aurora(オーロラ)はノルウェー出身の20歳で、歌声だけでなく中身も外見もとっても魅力的。ライブに行った時には『今日はめずらしく脇毛を剃ってみたの』と両手をあげて脇を見せてくれたりするお茶目な子。たくさんの人がそんな彼女が美しいと思う。
Here's one of my favorite artists, Aurora who is 20 year old girl from Norway. She is beautiful, not only her voice, but also her inside and out as a human being. When I went to her show once, she said "I shaved my arm hair today for the first time in long time!!" while she was putting her both arms up and showing us. And a lot of people thinks she's truly beautiful.
だから誰かのため、というよりも、自分の大切な身体のことは自分で決めるべき。『女性だから』毛を処理しなきゃいけないなんていう考えはないっていうこと。だから毛が濃い人も薄い人も堂々としていれば、それで魅力的。剃っていた方が落ち着くならそればいいし、『なんだ、じゃあいいや』と投げ出してもいいの。マイリーのように脇毛を染めたりするのもトレンドになったりしているけれど、トレンドだからやろう！ではなくて、他の誰でもなく、あなたのチョイス！ So, don't decide what to do with your body based on what people would think. Decide for yourself. "'Because you're lady,' you have to shave." This is bullshit. All people, whether they have thick hair or thin hair, can be attractive, as long as they have confidence with their choice. If you feel more comfortable being shaved, then you should do it. Or "fuck it!" and then you can do it whenever you feel like doing it. Like Miley Cyrus did before, dyeing arm hair became a trend but you don't have to do it, just because it's "trend." It's all your choice.
だからそんな人へのチョイスに偏見を持つのもNG！あなたの友達が剃っていなかったら『剃らないの！？』や『見た目が悪い』なんて決して指摘する必要はない。彼女がそれを望んでやっているかもしれないし、みんな同じでなくてはいけないなんていうルールはない。少数派はいつも偏見されがちかもだけれど、自信を持って堂々としていれば、キラキラして見える✧
Most importantly, you can't judge people who are the minority. If your friend decided not to shave, that's totally fine! You don't need to point them out and tell them "why don't you shave?" or "that looks bad." Well, I know that there are people that think the idea of not shaving hair is gross, but that's just people's preference. You can't try to control the people around you, you're not the center of the universe. Just be respectful before you judge. The minority will be judged but if you walk a street with full confidence, you'll be shining :)

ラッキーなことに私の彼は何も言わないから、私は面倒くさいときはほったらかし。だって実際いろいろな脱毛や処理の方法があるけれど、どれも時間がかかるし、たまに痛かったりする。綺麗にそれていることなんてあんまりないし、赤くなったりする人もいるのでは？ でもやっぱりたまに私の足のチクチクした毛が彼にこすれると『それやめて！』と言われるけれど、こんなパーフェクトなポエムを見つけたの。直訳するとこういう感じ。
There are so many ways to get rid of your body hair but it's time-consuming, costly and painful sometimes. And it's usually NEVER perfect, and maybe your skin sometimes gets red, doesn't it? Still, sometimes my boyfriend tells me when my little sharp leg hair attacks his skin, he always tells me "You're attacking me!" but I found this perfect poem by rupi kaur from her book called, milk and honey.

自分の身体、自分の毛、自分のルール。トレンドや周りに流されず、自分が100%心地いい形でいれれば、それがベスト！
It's your body, your hair, and your rules. Don't think too much (I know it's difficult "not to think" 100% about what people think about you but still..) what people think about you and let yourself be yourself. Being 100% comfortable with your choice and with yourself, that's the best!
