Here is an inspirational woman, Harnaam Kaur, who makes you re-think what really beauty is, and I think her thoughts make people positive for 2017. Harnaam Kaur is an British girl who are known as 'the lady with a beard.' She has been having polycystic ovary syndrome since she was 10 years old.

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome by NHS
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a common condition that affects how a woman’s ovaries work. The three main features of PCOS are:
irregular periods – which means your ovaries don't regularly release eggs (ovulation)
excess androgen – high levels of "male hormones" in your body, which may cause physical signs such as excess facial or body hair (see signs and symptoms below)
polycystic ovaries – your ovaries become enlarged and contain many fluid-filled sacs (follicles) which surround the eggs (it's important to note that, despite the name, if you have PCOS you don't actually have cysts)

I've accidentally watched her interview video a few weeks ago, and to be honest, I was a bit surprised at first when I saw her. I could tell she is a woman by her face and her voice. A minute later, I had already started focusing her make-up, and I was thinking 'wow such a cute eye make-up' and I didn't notice her hair anymore. I was surprised by not disgusted or anything. I really thought that she is beautiful. She talked that she was bullied in school and how she struggled to accept her own self. Although, she is happy with herself now and I said I wasn't feel gross or anything at all, it is not hard to imagine how hard school life was for her.
私が彼女を知ったのは数週間前のことで、たまたまインターネットでインタビュー動画を見ました。正直言うと最初少し驚きましたが、彼女が話しているのを聞いていると彼女はとても女性らしく１分後にはヒゲより「アイメイクかわい〜」と思っていました。驚きはしましたが気持ち悪い！などとは全く思わなかったです。普通に可愛らしい人だなと。彼女はインタビューでティーンの頃に学校でいじめられていて、自分の見た目を受け入れられず自殺を考えたり辛い日々を送っていたと話しています。私を含め、今ハッピーで自信がある彼女の姿を見て驚きはしたけれど、気持ち悪いなどとは思わない人が多いと思います。しかし、小学校や中高で人と違うと言うことがいかに学校生活を大変にさせるかはきっとみなさんも想像できるのではないでしょうか？

１２歳頃からいじめをなくならせるためにも脱毛をしましたが脱毛後にもインド・パキスタン系イギリス人であることや体型に関しても悪口を言われて、いじめはなくならなかったと話しています。脱毛はとても痛くて、肌がボロボロになり、それでもなくならないいじめに自殺を考え始めました。他にも色々と試しヒゲを除去しようと試みましたが、ホルモンの生で結局はすぐに生えてきてしまうのです。そして１６歳の時に”もうこれ以上は諦めよう”と思う。これからはヒゲを受け入れて生きていこうと思いました。私の弟はとてもサポートしてくれ、私のヒゲも愛してくれています。
なぜヒゲがあると女性らしくなれないのでしょうか？メイクやネイルをしてはいけないのでしょうか？もし今後ヒゲを除去できることになってもしたくありません。私はいじめや自殺願望などを乗り越えて、今の自分になったのですから。

Hernaam's positiveness and powerful words made me so happy, and I feel I can love myself too. She shows us that people are truly beautiful in their own way when they accept themselves. Harnaam, she is 25 years old now, and working as an anti bulling campaigner.
