what does it mean to be an adult?



When I was in university, I thought I would simply become an adult once I started working. What does it mean to be an adult for you? Do you think you will be an adult when you turn 20, when you graduate from school, or when you start working? Everyone has their own images of being an adult. I started working this year, but I feel that I still can’t call myself an adult. To be independent both financially and mentally. To act like an adult - since I graduated from university, I have been feeling these pressures. But what is exactly meant by being an adult? As I get older, I have more responsibilities and more opportunities to choose my own actions. I can choose where to work and what to do, who I want to spend time with, and what to spend my money on. Those responsibilities and opportunities made me think about what kind of person I want to be. In this article, I would like to share what I value as an adult and some words I keep in my mind.
